About APA Title Case Converter
An APA title case converter capitalises a title following the rules of the APA style guide. The first and last word, the word after a colon and every word of four letters or more get a capital, and articles, short conjunctions and short prepositions stay lowercase. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded.
Use it for the titles of papers, headings in the social sciences and the titles of works in the text of your paper. In an APA reference list, the title of an article or book is usually written in sentence case, so use the Sentence case converter for references.
In this tool the lowercase list for APA is: a, an, the, and, but, for, nor, or, so, yet, as, at, by, in, of, off, on, per, to, up and via. The word "with" has four letters, so it is capitalised, and "from" is capitalised too. A hyphenated word has every part capitalised, so check those against the manual yourself.

- The conversion runs in your browser tab. Your text is not sent to Ulkaa or to any other server.
- This tool does not save your text. Close or reload the page and it is gone.
Tips
- Convert to lowercase first when text arrives in capitals, and then to Sentence case to fix it. Typing in capitals is the usual cause.
- Use Use result as input to chain cases, for example Title Case and then camelCase.
- Check small words in a Title Case result. The guides disagree on prepositions of four letters or more, so pick the one your publisher uses.
- Convert a whole list of names at once. Every line is handled on its own for the code cases.
