These AI tools are free, need no sign-up and run in your browser, so your images are never uploaded. The Object Detector uses a COCO-SSD model to find and label objects in a photo or a live webcam feed.
The detection model is downloaded from Google model hosting the first time you use the tool. Your images and camera frames are not part of that download and never leave your device. Because of the download, the tool needs a connection to load and is not an offline tool.
COCO-SSD recognises 80 everyday object classes. It is a small demonstration model, not YOLO, and its results are not guaranteed to be accurate.

Is it really free?
Yes. There is no price, no trial and no credit card. Ulkaa Tool does the work with your own device, so there is no server bill to pass on to you.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. Open the page and use it. An Ulkaa account is not needed for anything on this tool.
Does it run in my browser?
Yes. Your images are processed by code running in your browser tab, on your own device.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Your images are never sent to Ulkaa or to anyone else. You can check this yourself by watching the Network tab in your browser developer tools while you use the tool.
Which objects can the detector find?
It finds the 80 object classes of the COCO dataset, which include people, vehicles, animals and everyday objects.
Is anything downloaded?
Yes. The pretrained model weights are downloaded from Google model hosting the first time you use the detector. Your images are never uploaded.
Does it work offline?
No. It needs a connection to load the model.
