About Sentence Case Converter
A sentence case converter lowercases your text and then capitalises the first letter of every sentence. It also turns a lone "i" into "I", which makes it the quickest way to repair a paragraph typed in all caps or all lowercase. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded.
A new sentence starts after a full stop, question mark or exclamation mark followed by a space, and at the start of every line. Because everything else is lowercased, proper nouns and acronyms lose their capitals: "iPhone" becomes "Iphone", and a name such as "Maria" in the middle of a sentence becomes "maria". Capitalise those by hand afterwards.
Sentence case is also the style many sites use for headings and button labels, where only the first word is capitalised.

Privacy: how it works
- The conversion runs in your browser tab. Your text is not sent to Ulkaa or to any other server.
- This tool does not save your text. Close or reload the page and it is gone.
Tips
- Convert to lowercase first when text arrives in capitals, and then to Sentence case to fix it. Typing in capitals is the usual cause.
- Use Use result as input to chain cases, for example Title Case and then camelCase.
- Check small words in a Title Case result. The guides disagree on prepositions of four letters or more, so pick the one your publisher uses.
- Convert a whole list of names at once. Every line is handled on its own for the code cases.

What is sentence case?
Only the first word of each sentence and proper nouns have a capital, as in normal writing. "The art of war" is sentence case, and "The Art of War" is title case.
Will it keep names capitalised?
No. It cannot tell a name from an ordinary word, so it lowercases it unless it starts a sentence. Add the capitals back by hand.
