About dot.case Converter
A dot.case converter writes words in lowercase and joins them with dots. Paste app config file and you get app.config.file, a shape used for configuration keys and package or namespace names. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded.
dot.case turns up in property files, logging keys, metric names and nested config such as server.port. The tool splits camelCase and PascalCase at the capitals first, so serverPortNumber becomes server.port.number.
Each line is converted on its own and punctuation is dropped. If you need path separators instead of dots, use path/case on the main Text Case Converter page.
How to use dot.case Converter
- Type or paste your text into the box.
- Click the case you want. On the main page the text in the box changes in place, and Undo steps back.
- For Title Case, pick a style: AP, APA, Chicago or MLA. The result updates to follow that guide.
- On a page for one case, such as Uppercase, the converted text appears under the box in a Result field, and you can pick another case to compare.
- Press Copy to put the result on your clipboard, or Download .txt to save it as a file.
Features

Privacy: how it works
- The conversion runs in your browser tab. Your text is not sent to Ulkaa or to any other server.
- This tool does not save your text. Close or reload the page and it is gone.
Tips
- Convert to lowercase first when text arrives in capitals, and then to Sentence case to fix it. Typing in capitals is the usual cause.
- Use Use result as input to chain cases, for example Title Case and then camelCase.
- Check small words in a Title Case result. The guides disagree on prepositions of four letters or more, so pick the one your publisher uses.
- Convert a whole list of names at once. Every line is handled on its own for the code cases.
