About English to Morse Code Translator
This English to Morse code translator converts a sentence into International Morse code. It covers the 26 letters of the English alphabet, the ten digits and the common punctuation marks. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded.
Write the sentence normally. Capital letters do not matter, so Yes and YES give the same code, -.-- . ... Words are separated in the result by a slash, and punctuation has its own code: a question mark is ..--.. and an exclamation mark is -.-.-- . The phrase Hi! becomes .... .. -.-.-- .
Operators also send procedural signals, such as CQ, a general call, and AR, the end of message. Type the signals that run together in angle brackets, for example <AR> or <SK>, and the tool sends them as a single character. A plain CQ CQ <AR> becomes -.-. --.- / -.-. --.- / .-.-.
This page is for English text. Letters with accents and characters from other scripts have no code in the table here and are skipped. For learning English words in Morse, press Play audio and start at a low speed such as 10 words per minute.

Privacy: how it works
- The text, the Morse code and the audio are all produced by code in your browser tab. Nothing is sent to Ulkaa or to any other server, which you can confirm in the Network tab of your browser developer tools.
- The WAV file is made on your device and saved straight to your downloads.
Tips
- To practise reading, translate a short phrase, press Play audio at 15 WPM with the box hidden, and try to write what you heard before looking.
- Use Flash light and a dark room to try signalling with a lamp, a torch or a mirror. The on-screen light blinks at the same rhythm as the sound.
- If decoding gives odd results, check the spacing. One space between letters and a slash with spaces around it between words works best.
- Pasting Morse from a web page often brings in long dashes or middle dots. The decoder accepts them, so you do not have to clean them first.
