About Pivot Table From CSV
This page opens with a pivot of the sample sales CSV: Region as the rows, Quarter as the columns and the sum of Amount in each cell. Load your own CSV to summarise it the same way. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded.
The row totals are East 28800, North 28650, South 28500, West 28650, and the grand total is 114600. Each column total is the amount for that quarter across all regions.
How to use Pivot Table From CSV
- Choose a file or paste your cells under Paste or upload data. The first row must hold the column names.
- Pick the Rows field: its values become the row labels.
- Pick the Columns field, or (none) for a single value column.
- Pick the aggregate and the Values field to summarise. Count does not need a values field.
- Read the table with its totals, then copy it or download it as CSV.

Tips
- Pick fields with few distinct values for rows and columns. A column field with hundreds of values makes a very wide table.
- Use Count with a text field to see how often each value appears.
- Dates summarise better once they are grouped, for example as a month or quarter column added to the source data.
- Blank labels are grouped under (blank) so those rows are never dropped.

Yes. The first row is read as the column names, which you then pick as rows, columns and values.
