About SSC GPA Calculator with 4th Subject
This SSC GPA calculator with 4th subject shows both results side by side, using the commonly published rule that only the 4th subject points above 2.00 are added. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded.
The 4th (optional) subject can lift your GPA but can never lower it. A 4th subject graded A+ (5.00) adds 3.00 points to the main total, a B (3.00) adds 1.00, and a C (2.00) or lower adds nothing. An F in the 4th subject does not fail you. The total is divided by the number of main subjects and capped at 5.00.
Sources and calculators disagree on details, so the board official result is final. The marksheet GPA already includes the 4th subject where there was one.
How to use SSC GPA Calculator with 4th Subject
- Pick your system in the tabs: SSC, HSC, Dakhil, Alim, US high school or US college.
- For a Bangladesh exam, choose a grade for every subject. Add or remove rows to match your group, and count a two-paper subject such as Bangla or English once, with its combined grade. Or switch on marks entry and type the mark out of 100 for each subject.
- Switch the 4th subject on or off, and choose its grade. Only the points above 2.00 count towards the GPA.
- For US courses, enter the credits and the letter grade of each course. In high school mode also choose Regular, Honors or AP / IB for each course.
- Read the result. Bangladesh tabs show the GPA with and without the 4th subject and a letter grade. US tabs show the GPA, or the weighted and unweighted pair.

The 4th subject rule
Add the grade points of the main subjects. Add the points of the 4th subject above 2.00, never below zero. Divide by the number of main subjects and cap the result at 5.00.

The C adds nothing, so with and without are equal.

Privacy: how it works
- Subjects, marks, grades and credits are processed by code in your browser tab. Nothing is sent to Ulkaa or anyone else, and nothing is stored, so closing the tab clears the page.
Tips
- If a university asks for your GPA, quote the figure printed on your marksheet and use this page to understand it.
- Count a two-paper subject once, with its combined grade, so the number of main subjects matches the board.
- In US high school mode, check whether your school caps weighted GPA at 5.0 or weights only some grades, and adjust your reading of the result.

Is it really free?
Yes. There is no price, no trial and no credit card. Ulkaa Tool does the work with your own device, so there is no server bill to pass on to you.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. Open the page and use it. An Ulkaa account is not needed for anything on this tool.
Does it run in my browser?
Yes. Your grades are processed by code running in your browser tab, on your own device.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Your grades are never sent to Ulkaa or to anyone else. You can check this yourself by watching the Network tab in your browser developer tools while you use the tool.
How is the 4th subject counted in SSC GPA?
Only the points above 2.00 are added to the main total. The sum is divided by the number of main subjects and the GPA is capped at 5.00.
Can the 4th subject lower my GPA?
No. It adds zero if its grade point is 2.00 or less, and an F there does not fail you.
