About HSC GPA Calculator for Bangladesh
This HSC GPA calculator (এইচএসসি) works out your result on the Bangladesh 5.00 grading scale, the same table used for SSC. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded.
The page starts with six subject rows, which you can change to match your group. Choose a grade for each subject, or switch to marks and type each mark out of 100, and the calculator averages the grade points. A 4th subject adds only the points above 2.00.
Universities usually ask for the GPA printed on your marksheet, so use that figure when you apply and use this page to check how it is built.
How to use HSC GPA Calculator for Bangladesh
- Pick your system in the tabs: SSC, HSC, Dakhil, Alim, US high school or US college.
- For a Bangladesh exam, choose a grade for every subject. Add or remove rows to match your group, and count a two-paper subject such as Bangla or English once, with its combined grade. Or switch on marks entry and type the mark out of 100 for each subject.
- Switch the 4th subject on or off, and choose its grade. Only the points above 2.00 count towards the GPA.
- For US courses, enter the credits and the letter grade of each course. In high school mode also choose Regular, Honors or AP / IB for each course.
- Read the result. Bangladesh tabs show the GPA with and without the 4th subject and a letter grade. US tabs show the GPA, or the weighted and unweighted pair.

- GPA shown to two decimals without rounding up, the way the boards print it, so 4.996 shows as 4.99.
- US high school GPA, weighted (+0.5 Honors, +1.0 AP or IB) and unweighted, weighted by credits.
- US college GPA on the 4.0 scale or the 4.3 scale where A+ is 4.3, with typical Latin honors.
- Plus and minus letters and decimal credits for US courses.
Worked examples
Six subjects: A+, A, A, A-, B, A+ gives Points total 24.5, GPA = 24.5 ÷ 6 = 4.08
The same six subjects plus a 4th subject graded A+ gives Bonus 3.00, GPA = (24.5 + 3) ÷ 6 = 4.58

- Subjects, marks, grades and credits are processed by code in your browser tab. Nothing is sent to Ulkaa or anyone else, and nothing is stored, so closing the tab clears the page.
Tips
- If a university asks for your GPA, quote the figure printed on your marksheet and use this page to understand it.
- Count a two-paper subject once, with its combined grade, so the number of main subjects matches the board.
- In US high school mode, check whether your school caps weighted GPA at 5.0 or weights only some grades, and adjust your reading of the result.

Is it really free?
Yes. There is no price, no trial and no credit card. Ulkaa Tool does the work with your own device, so there is no server bill to pass on to you.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. Open the page and use it. An Ulkaa account is not needed for anything on this tool.
Does it run in my browser?
Yes. Your grades are processed by code running in your browser tab, on your own device.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Your grades are never sent to Ulkaa or to anyone else. You can check this yourself by watching the Network tab in your browser developer tools while you use the tool.
Is the HSC grading scale the same as SSC?
Yes. Both use the 5.00 scale, where 80 marks or more is A+ (5.00) and the pass mark is 33.
Which GPA do universities want?
Usually the one on your marksheet. It already includes the 4th subject where you took one.
